The Ministry of Westmoreland Baptist Church can be summed up in saying we seek to fulfill the“Great Commission” – Matthew 28:18-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” and the “Great Commandments” – Matthew 22:37-40 “And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
We have taken those two broad teachings of our Lord and set our focus as a threefold purpose – to Magnify God… Make Disciples…and Minister to People. The Venn Diagram we use with the three overlapping circles is designed to remind us that each of these activities is interlinked with the others.
