The Urban Infill Corporation (UIC) was founded by Robert “Chris” Vail to provide affordable custom home construction. Mr. Vail is both a Professional Engineer and a Certified Building Contractor who started in the construction trade by renovating historic homes. The knowledge acquired from the elaborate renovations led Mr. Vail to study new home construction. When you partner with Mr. Vail to build the home of your dreams, you not only partner with professional contractor, you also partner with a detailed engineer who brings organization and professionalism from the engineering field onto the jobsite.
Also, if you own a lot or a piece of property and wish to build a custom home, we will gladly prepare a cost estimate for a complete and engineered set of construction plans. There are lots of builders who specialize in single-story, brick, slab-on-grade, and 2-car garage out front style homes; we are not one of those. We specialize in old Florida vernacular–deep porches and roof overhangs, raised foundations, detached garages and traditional siding.
