Mission Statement
The purpose of this school is to prepare students to pass a state examination and serve an apprenticeship in professional manner. Our course prepares students with a strong foundation in the science, theory, ad art of barber styling.
History
Tri-City Barber College open in 1914 in Downtown Louisville. It is the oldest continuously run Barber College in the United States. Current owner Steve Kennedy, purchased the college from his mentor Murrell Probus in January 1988. Tri-City Barber College moved to its current location in November 2000.
Accreditation
Tri-City Barber College is accredited by the Kentucky State Board of Barber Examiners, Kentucky Department of Education (Bureau of Rehabilitation Service), and is approved by Veterans training by the Kentucky Approving Agency.
