The Sod Source Was co-founded in 1996 by Chris Hays who attended both Delta State University and Mississippi State University. The farm launched with just 100 acres of sod and has grown to over 400 acres currently. Both Tracie and Mary Stephens Hays joined full time in 2022 to handle all sod sales.
