The Dilworth Inn
The Dilworth Inn is a 14 room boutique hotel opened in February 2015. It is located in the heart of Gonzales Texas and designed within the historic Dilworth Building. The style integrates contemporary and traditional design elements with colorful and repurposed accents.
The building was constructed in 1912 and has seen many uses over the years. Built originally as the Dilworth Bank, it has also been used as office spaces, Gindlers Department Store, and a church. Come and Take It Properties purchased the historic building in 2014 and began renovations to create a much needed boutique hotel and restaurant in the Gonzales downtown area.
In 2020, at the 5-year anniversary of the opening of the hotel, Come and Take It Properties joined with Historic Hospitality Management for a Grand Re-Opening of this historic gem. These two owners will move forward creating a unique partnership of historic passion and owner occupied dedication to the property. Updates and promotions are scheduled throughout the year to increase awareness and occupancy, thus breathing new life into downtown Gonzales Texas.
Our location on the central square of downtown Gonzales puts our guests across the street from live entertainment, downtown festivals, and walking distance to many eating establishments and live music venues. Stay in the very heart of the action for our annual Come and Take It Festival, Winterfest Celebration, and the Downtown Friday Night Music series held in June. Many historical locations are also within walking distance. From the Old Jail House and Chamber of Commerce, to the Memorial Museum where the Come and Take It cannon resides. Park directly at the hotel and enjoy the sites by foot if you desire.
