Nazih M. Haddad, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Haddad is a native of Beirut, Lebanon. He finished high school and part of his college studies at the Christian Brothers College. He went to the French Medical School of St. Joseph’s University before coming to the United States. He started his medical training in internal medicine at Hahnemann University-affiliated hospital (Monmouth Medical Center) in Long Branch, New Jersey. He later moved to New York where he started his general surgery training at Columbia University Teaching Hospital (St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City). He further specialized in head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He has been concentrating since on cosmetic surgery. Further training and research in facial plastic surgery and body cosmetic surgery was spent with his mentor Dr. Richard Webster in Boston, MA in the falls of 1975 and 1985 (three months each). Dr. Haddad is board certified in head and neck surgery as well as in cosmetic surgery. He is a member of several distinguished medical societies. He started his practice in New York City and then extended it to Beirut, Lebanon, and then to Boston before settling in California. He was on the teaching staff of New York University, Columbia University, and the American University of Beirut (where he was the chief of the department). His teaching experience extending also to Harvard University and currently he is affiliated with the University of California at Irvine (where he was awarded the Outstanding Teacher of the Year in 1994). Dr. Haddad is the author of several articles and he is on the lecture circuit in the United States and overseas. He speaks fluently several languages (English, French, Arabic, and Spanish). He speaks also many others. His hobbies include reading, painting and he enjoys a variety of athletic activities. Dr. Haddad maintains his practice in aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic laser surgery in Newport Beach, California.
