Sugar Run Stables
Memories in the Makin’ is a 501C3 nonprofit organization offering equine therapy for people with disabilities and special needs, as well as veterans. We operate out of Sugar Run Stables in Avella PA. Services offered include horseback riding and horsemanship lessons where riders will connect with the horse through groundwork. We believe the most important part of equine therapy is the connection between the horse and person. Through our program, each individual will learn horsemanship skills such as feeding, watering, grooming, cleaning the stalls, and leading. This will help each individual learn their horse’s routine and build a lasting connection.
