OASIS CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Oasis Christian Church of Connecticut is a non-denominational, bible-preaching Christian church. We are a passionate group of believers meeting together at 500 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, Connecticut, learning about the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We meet regularly for study, worship, prayer and fellowship with one another, as we daily aim to practice and implement the life and teachings of Jesus into our daily lives.
We take seriously God’s commands to “love one another, as I have loved you”. We look for ways to reach out to our families, friends, and communities to share this love freely. We strive to love one another, encourage, support and care for one another. And we welcome you to join us to do the same.
We love the Word of God and meet together weekly to study the written Word of God to expand our knowledge of our Savior and how we can live a life pleasing to him and be effective to minister into the lives of those around us. We believe God, through the Holy Spirit, speaks to his creation, which he loves; and still helps, saves, heals, and delivers his children. We know his gifts of love, repentance, salvation and deliverance are for ALL who come to him in faith.
We are not about position and titles. Jesus said, “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant”. As such, we are governed by our Board of Elders who serve in their capacities freely, as we all serve one another and learn from one another. We come together to be transformed by the power of God’s word to renew our minds, hearts, and souls; and to stand apart from the negative influences of our culture in this age.
In addition to our individual call to serve God and minister to others; we support the work of God through the supporting the lives and ministries of Christian brothers and sisters in our community and nation and around the globe who have dedicated themselves to living and promoting the gospel of Christ as their life occupation.
By definition, an oasis is a fertile or green area in an arid region (such as a desert); something that provides refuge, relief, or pleasant contrast from somewhere unpleasant. This is our call; to be a place where people can grow, find rest and sanctuary, and to know our God, even while in the midst of the unrest of life full of challenges and negative influences.
