OAKWAY FIRE DEPARTMENT
Oakway Fire Department has been in service since 1962 helping and serving Oconee County and the Oakway Community. We currently have 24 active members on our roster and answer more than 100 calls per year. We are always in search of new recruits or experienced volunteers willing to give a little time to a community that looks for top quality service and Fire Protection. We pride ourselves in the ability to provide for the needs of our community at anytime day or night, weekday, weekend, or holiday. Our station currently houses 2 class A pumpers, 1 1800 gallon Tanker (Tender), 1 Brush Truck, 1 administrative car, and will soon house a service truck to assist with structure fires as well as auto accidents and other community needs.
