My Story
After working for a private health system for over 13 years, I have started my own practice. A little about me: I was born and raised in the Milwaukee area, attended Ohio Wesleyan for my Bachelor’s degree and University of Wisconsin for my Master’s degree. I have four children, three very busy grandchildren and two dogs (whose listening skills are sub-par at best…progress is slow but we’re getting there)! While leaving my career at Mercy Health has been bitter sweet, I am thrilled to begin on this new journey.
Why I do what I do
Mental health is so incredibly important but is often overlooked. As a therapist, I can honestly say that I look forward to coming to work, to listening to others’ stories and to helping my clients reach their individual goals . At KPL Counseling, you and I will work through issues together. I have been known to cry and laugh right along with my clients…and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Though I can’t offer a tissue over tele-health, I can have some sent your way!
Personal Note
It is worth noting that I have experienced many of the hardships that my own clients face. If I could tell my patients one thing every day it would be this: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I am here for you.
