HILTON HEAD PLANTATION YACHT CLUB

Established 1982
Hilton Head Plantation Yacht Club was established on April 29, 1982, with broad support from sail and power boat owners resident in Hilton Head Plantation at that time. Over the years, the Club has organized trips for boating and social members to Beaufort, Savannah, and local/regional islands (Dataw, Daufuskie, Edisto, and Parris), local luncheon cruises, numerous raft ups, and overnight cruises to Charlestown, Golden Isles, Jekyll Island, and St Simons. Social activities always have been an important part of the Club year, and highlights have been the annual Blessing of the Fleet and the Change of Watch event. In addition, the Club hosts dinner meetings with catered local cuisine and general meetings, which often include guest speakers covering a broad spectrum of subjects related to boating, the ecology of the Lowcountry waterways, or the storied history of the area.
Today, HHPYC continues these traditions, and residents of Hilton Head Plantation who join HHPYC have the opportunity to explore the Lowcountry waterways with fellow members, learn about the area in which they live, and connect with like-minded people with a passion for safe, fun boating and camaraderie.
