Hand Care Specialist of Wesley Chapel LLC, was established in 2016 by our very own Dr. Laurentin Perez. As the owner, he can attest that the practice strives for function restoration of the hand and upper extremity. All conditions are treated with the most current techniques in hand surgery. Not all conditions require surgery, so each is thoroughly evaluated and studied so the patient can receive the correct treatment.
Dr. Laurentin Perez trained as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at hospital Enrique Tornu, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and at the Argentine Catholic University, also located in Buenos Aires, specializing in Esthetic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Laurentin-Perez completed a combined program of master/PhD in Physiology in 2007 with research in limb transplant, at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed a HAND surgery fellowship at the world renowned Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery, in Louisville, Kentucky in 2004.
A professional member of the Florida Medical Association, and the Hillsborough County Medical Association. He has accrued over 26 years of experience in the field. He attributes his success to getting involved proactively with his patients’ needs, and building a trusting relationship between patient and physician.
