Bishop Jonah Obonyo, is a native of both the Rift valley and Nyanza province. He schooled both in Rift Valley and Nairobi provinces where he graduated from Kabete Technical institute in Accounts with a masters degree. He is married to one wife, lady Florence Obonyo and together they are blessed with a boy and a girl.
Bishop Obonyo was groomed into Ministry by Bishop Arthur Kitonga, the founding father of the Redeemed Gospel Church (R.G.C.). Whilst under him, Bishop Obonyo managed to join a Bible school where the real ethic and the process of discovery were cultivated into his life. He was later ordained as a pastor in 1995.
