During the first ten years, we provided many meals daily, with the direction and hard work of a local Savanna resident, Penny VonEssen. Penny also organized the yearly Stronghold Summer Bible Camp for youth. Recently, Penny passed away after a time of extended illness. The Great River Outreach wishes to thank her family for her dedicated service, naming her Outstanding Supporter of the year for 2017. Penny was tireless in her efforts to help those-in-need in our community. Her passion and legacy continue!
