I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah, and currently reside in Roy. I am a mother of 5 children and a grandmother of 11. I returned to Weber State University shortly after the death of my spouse and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Social Work and a Minor in Child and Family Studies. I attended graduate school at the University of Utah and obtained my Masters of Social Work in 2011. It has been a privilege to work in the field of social work for 20 years. At present, I am practicing as a psychotherapist. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents helping them cope in a healthy manner with life stressors/difficult life transitions including trauma, separation, divorce, chronic/terminal illnesses, and death. I promote mindfulness and expand on existing strengths using evidence-based interventions whenever possible.
