FRANKLINTON BAPTIST CHURCH
In 1801 Isaac Malin emerged as founder of Drennon’s Ridge Church located in beautiful downtown Franklinton. The first meeting was held in a barn about 300 yards from the current location of the church. There have since been 3 buildings that have served as houses of worship for Franklinton Baptist Church. The first was made of logs in the 1800’s. This structure was replaced by a brick building that lasted 50 years. Finally, the present building was constructed in 1851 with the first service being held February 14th!
