First Southern Baptist Church Shafter
The First Southern Baptist of Shafter, CA is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. All Southern Baptist Churches, remain autonomous from the convention. Each church directs its affairs apart from outside intervention, deciding for itself how to deal with all matters. The Convention recognizes that in the New Testament there was no centralized ecclesiastical authority over the churches that forced the churches into any form of compliance. There was encouragement, exhortation, and admonition, but there was never enforced.
