Erdel & Wood Home Improvement is a flooring and home improvement store serving the mid-Missouri builders, contractors and homeowners. We were founded in 1975 by a brother and sister duo, Stanley Erdel and Janice Wood. The pair started with nothing but some carpet samples, and through a grassroots effort began building their business in Mexico, Missouri. In 2003, Erdel & Wood opened a store in Columbia, Missouri, and has been expanding ever since.
We now offer a variety of carpet, hardwood, laminate, tile and vinyl flooring products, in addition to backsplashes, paint and stone. To this day, we continue to operate as a local, family-owned business, carrying on our relative’s well-earned reputation for quality products and unmatched customer service. We pride ourselves on going to bat for each and every customer, only sharing products that are proven to satisfy. Plus, we get our products directly from the manufacturer, cutting out the middleman and giving our customers a key pricing advantage.
