CHURCH MISSION EFFORTS (LOCAL & ABROAD)
East Ridge is known for heavy involvement in mission work, both in our community and abroad. Browse below to see what mission efforts we are carrying out, and consider how you might get involved in sharing the gospel.
Our congregation is known for placing a heavy emphasis on mission work and evangelism. Many of our members travel abroad each year on mission campaigns to Nicaragua, Panama, Russia, and Africa. We also financially support missionaries and church leaders in these areas. Of course, we also believe mission work needs to be done at home. Stateside missions including door-to-door evangelism, gospel meetings, and Vacation Bible Schools supplement our local efforts to help the needy (see left) and teach the lost (see below).
Every week, several of our members volunteer many hours in service to our community. Thanks to their ongoing effort, we are able to offer one of the most respected benevolence programs in the Chattanooga area. Stocked with food, clothing, and household items, our Benevolence Room is open Tuesdays from 8 am-2 pm to share the love of Christ with those in need. Donations of clean clothing and non-perishable foods can be brought to the Benevolence Room during regular office hours. Phone: 423.899.8498 (Coordinator: Jim Tidmore)
