Curcio Edward P MD

Edward P. Curcio M.D. graduated from Georgetown University Medical School in 1967. This was followed by his internship at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington DC and his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York where he was a chief resident and studied adolescent and adult psychiatry. He is a board certified psychiatrist with over forty years experience treating adolescents, adults and families. As the first medical director of Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, he secured its accreditation from the Joint Commission of Hospitals. He is currently an Assistant Professor at George Washington University. In his clinical practice he treats adolescents and adults with mood and anxiety disorders along with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and medication management. He earned a Compassionate Doctor recognition in 2015 and a top doctors award by Global Who‘s Who in 2019. He is about to publish his book, “Mother’s song- Father’s Story”. The book enables parents to become “ brain wise” about their child’s developmental needs. It aligns diverse scientific disciplines (psychiatry, neurology, evolutionary theory, genetics and education) into an understanding of the aspects that children require to thrive.
