CUBANO CULTURAL CLUB
Welcome – Club Cultural Cubano
During the early 1960s, as Cuban exiles flooded into the United States, many found their way to Los Angeles, mainly through relocation programs. After gathering in family garages for social gatherings, these early émigrés sought to establish a familiar space where they could put the Cuban Revolution behind them and focus on family, culture, community, and freedom.
Started in the Garvey Ranch Park in the City of Monterey Park in 1968, the Cuban Cultural Club provided a focal point for those early families, many of who had left their families back in Cuba. For many, the CCC became a second family and over the course of five decades, a second home.
