CATS – Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra

Promoting multicultural theater and diversity in the arts in the Sierra Foothills and the greater Sacramento region in northern California.

Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra (CATS) has been “dark” since 2020, due to the pandemic.  We were looking forward to finally producing Amy Tan’s The Joy Luck Club at the Nevada Theatre this April and May, and had to postpone it yet again for another year!  What to do in the meantime – we were asking?  After some thought, we are finally jumping on the Zoom bandwagon with virtual cultural enrichment programs consisting of cooking classes and workshops.  We are emerging from the “dark”!
