Philip J. Carlton founded Carlton Motorcars in 1996 by purchasing the Mercedes-Benz dealership from Snyder’s Auto Sales. Mr. Carlton was an entrepreneur – previously operating many businesses as well as automotive dealerships in New York and Florida for over 40 years. Mr. Carlton believed in being present at the dealership every day and in his later years even had a desk moved onto the showroom floor so he could observe the sales department firsthand. His philosophy from the very beginning was very clear – be the best and deliver exceptional customer service to every customer. This has been a cornerstone of our company culture ever since.
More than 24 years later, Carlton Motorcars remains a family-owned business operated by the second generation. Not surprisingly, many of our original employees are still here maintaining our tradition of exceptional customer service. Today, we offer the finest automobiles ever manufactured, and continue our tradition of exceptional customer service with the best trained advisors and technicians in the country.
