Broward County Institutions Committee
“The Broward County Institutions Committee is a group of AA members who volunteer their time for the purpose of carrying the message of recovery from the disease of alcoholism into the Corrections and Treatment facilities of Broward County.
The Broward County Institutions Committee focuses on the process of “one drunk, talking to another” as the most effective means of carrying the AA message.”
BCIC takes A.A. meetings into 34 Treatment facilities and 5 Correction facilities, at the present time. 120 meetings per week require 240 members to alternate from week to week so that each person is doing a meeting twice a month. The names and addresses of the 40 facilities are published on a monthly basis.
