Jeff started doing hunt tests in the 1980’s. In the late 1980’s he started field trialing. In 1993, Jeff and his wife built Brookwood Kennels. At that time, he also bought a puppy from Julie Hogan. That puppy became FC Brookwood Carry-on Jake. Since then, Jeff has trained many spaniel breeds, including English springer spaniels, English cockers, Boykin, Welsh, and Field spaniels.
Since starting Brookwood Kennels, Jeff has had the good fortune of training and handling many field champions. He also trains Master Hunters for clients. He has judged numerous field trials, including the 2010 National Open Championship.
Training is Jeff’s passion. He builds and maintains strong ongoing relationships with the majority of his clients.
