Situated just a stone’s throw from Rt 12, The Boonville Hotel looks like a building out of an old western. Its big front porch lends a comfortable feeling, and once inside you feel as if you passed into the 1930s. A swirling curling bar strikes the eyes first, then you catch sight of boots lining the opposite wall. A metal wall covering adds a mysterious feel, and with the other touches creates a country sort of art deco atmosphere, complete with locals with elbows on the bar, sipping local beer, swapping tales. It’s about as comfortable as comfortable can be.
