Founded in 1993, Bethany, Inc.’s mission has been to combat homelessness for families in Washington, D.C. On December 30, 2024 we sold our eight apartment building to Collaborative Solutions for Communities who also serve children and families.

We found unhoused families did not choose our renovated units, possibly because they were small and did not have the amenities newer buildings had available.

​We are now re-envisioning our mission, to focus on improving the physical and mental health as well as education achievement of elementary aged children East of the River in Washington, D.C.
