BARBADOS CANCER ASSOCIATION USA
The Barbados Cancer Association USA (BACA), Inc. is a community-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to minimizing the impact of cancer on Barbados and Caribbean communities in the USA by promoting prevention, early detection and prompt treatment of cancer in these populations by:
Assisting relevant public and private sector programs in the procurement of appropriate equipment and supplies
Providing funding for relevant cancer research and continuing cancer education activities for targeted health care professionals
Providing public education and support materials related to healthy lifestyles/prevention and screening/early detection and treatment
Funding of cancer support services
BACA was established in 2005 as a philanthropic 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization whose members are drawn primarily from among the Barbadian community in the USA. BACA receives no direct financial support from government. Sponsorship, donations and fundraising activities support our programs.
