American Legion
The American Legion is chartered by Congress. We report about Veterans Affairs. Each Post is chartered by the national organization but operates with independent by-laws. George Beach Post 4 is in good standing with the National American Legion and the Colorado Legion Department. A portion of your dues is distributed to both the National and Department Organizations
The backbone of the American Legion are the Post Volunteers
To be successful and accomplish the goals we have set, it takes everyone’s participation. We value our members and their commitment to volunteer their time and talents.
Post 4 Member Activities
“Still Serving America”
Conduct fund raising to provide donations for Community agencies, Veterans Hospitals and Nursing Homes
Participate and help plan Joint Veterans Memorial Day services at 3 different cemeteries for the community
Obtain points of contact and information about various Veterans Programs
Participate in Veterans Assistance Programs such as Larimer County Stand down and similar events
Support Fort Collins all Veterans Honor Guard
Conduct proper Flag Disposal for Community
Support Colorado Department and National Legion programs such as:
Boys State Program (High School Students)
Oratorical Program (High School Students)
Assist with parties and fund raising activities
