METROPOLITAN REGIONAL COUNCIL OF CARPENTERS
The Metropolitan Regional Council of Carpenters was originally Chartered on June 22, 1898, by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. At that time, it was formed by the first Carpenter Local Unions organized in Philadelphia: Local Union 8, chartered in 1881 and Local Union 122, Chartered in 1886. Our Council is now the parent body and the Headquarters for all of our 29 Locals with a geographical jurisdiction in 10 counties in the Southeastern section of the State of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, Chester, Bucks, Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Berks, and Lancaster.)
