Shiflet Field (9A9) is a private field that is open to the public, with 37 hangars that access a 3,300′ x 150′ lighted, glide-slope equipped grass strip that is lovingly maintained by its members. The Marion Airport Commission (MAC) is a non-profit entity that manages hangar leases, has a bunch of rules that describe how to become a member and how to stay a member, and conducts the upkeep of this lovely little grass strip for the benefit of its members and the wonderful folks who stop by to visit us and enjoy 9A9.
