Dr. Yohai was educated at Tufts University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biology. He graduated Northwestern University Medical School in 1987, and completed his Ophthalmology Residency at University of Missouri in 1991.
Dr. Yohai is one of an elite rank of 500 surgeons nationally who are trained in the reconstruction and beautification of eyelids. Having a strong interest in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he was accepted to one of only 30 Oculoplastic Surgery Fellowships in the entire country, which he completed in 1992.
Dr. Yohai was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1992, 2002 and is committed to recertification every 10 years to demonstrate the currency of his knowledge. He was recently awarded a “Patient’s Choice Award” by vitals.com Dr. Yohai is also the first surgeon north of the Golden Gate Bridge to successfully perform a new, less invasive, Glaucoma procedure called “Canaloplasty” on 1/12/2011.
His comprehensive training and experience allow him to provide care for nearly all eye problems. Dr. Robert A. Yohai began practice in Northern California in 1992. He founded Advanced Eyecare in 1997 in Santa Rosa and opened the Novato office in 2001.
