Joliet Crystal Lawns is a part of the international Church of the Nazarene, over 22,000 churches around the world, and the denominational Chicago Central District. We partner with over 2 million believers to share the love of Jesus and His Church around the world through domestic and international missions. Many in our congregation call the surrounding cities home and some commute from further away. We are inter-generational and inter-cultural and together:

While we strive to model the 1st century church regarding the importance of community, we know that the practical embodiment of the Christian mission, especially today, demands all our diversity, talents, and passion to communicate the truth of the gospel. We follow in the footsteps of our Spiritual ancestors in being a community that Frees, Encourages, Entrusts, and Transforms.
Our classes, small groups, and Sunday worship all revolve around these four dimensions of Christian life. It is only in community, with God and with each other, that we can fully experience God’s lavish love and our full potential. We are a body of believers knit together with all people because of our shared identity as God’s children.
