Coastal Rehabilitation, Inc. was founded by S. Bernie Blystone, PT and is an independently owned private physical and sports therapy rehabilitation practice that has been providing quality rehabilitation in Eastern North Carolina for over 30 years.
Our Focus
Customization
Our physical therapists offer years of experience to provide a thorough and precise evaluation. Using the information gathered throughout the evaluation, our therapists design programs customized to fit the individual needs of each patient. Coastal Rehabilitation therapists have outstanding and diversified skills in the fields of physical and occupational therapy.
Restoration
Our emphasis is on the restoration of function. We use modalities as an adjunct to hands on treatment and tailored exercise programs to ensure each patient progresses to their optimal functional abilities and highest quality of life. Our focus is on decreasing pain and improving function by increasing mobility and strength with individualized treatments designed specifically to address each patient’s physical and functional impairments.
Education
At Coastal Rehab, we are prepared to provide outstanding treatment to male and female patients throughout all cycles of life. Patient education is paramount; each patient is educated regarding their condition and rehab process to endorse a genuine understanding of the limitations, precautions and rehab process to promote optimal compliance and recovery.
Dedication
Coastal Rehab offers 6 offices throughout the Albemarle area and the Outer Banks. Each office offers physical and occupational therapy. Our staff is dedicated to providing excellent care in a diverse setting. Home health services are available to residents who are home bound in the seven counties we serve.
