Little Portion Franciscan Sisters

We are a small community patterned after the early followers of St. Francis.

Living a simplistic and intense Franciscan Life: living out our Gospel call to serve.

Our namesake Little Portion comes to form the Portiuncula Church (meaning small portion). This is where St. Francis founded his order in Assisi, Italy. This Portiuncula is now in the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels.

We strive to bring God’s healing presence to all people whatever our ministry may be. We have a special inclination to serve the poor as St. Francis by seeing the face of God in all brothers and sisters that are outcasts.
