The Shelby County Metro, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #35 (formerly known as the Memphis State Troopers Lodge #35) was formed in 1968 to serve Law Enforcement personnel employed by the various agencies in the Memphis & Shelby County, Tennessee area. For over 50 years, Lodge 35 has served a variety of Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies and offers each of our 1200+ members legal defense coverage among other important benefits. The National Fraternal Order of Police started in 1915, and represents over 330,000 members in 2200 lodges Worldwide. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today’s police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the F.O.P..
