Redeemer Lutheran Church

The church is a people created by God in Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, called and sent to bear witness to God’s creative, redeeming, and sanctifying activity in the world.

Pastor Jon Christenson:
Pastor Jon was born in New London, CT. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside, and a master’s degree from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley. He served churches in Pennsylvania and in Ventura, CA before coming to Redeemer in 2005. He is the father of four adult children.
He is married to Katy Christenson, and they share their home with several dogs and cats. Pastor Jon loves sports of all sorts (including the Bakersfield Condors), and enjoys reading, travel, coffee, history, movies, and war gaming. His personal heroes are Dietrich Bonhoeffer and George Washington.
