Our Purpose: Matthew 28:10-20
The purpose of Glenwood Heights Baptist Church is to glorify God by edifying and equipping believers in order to extend the mission of Christ so that unbelievers will be evangelized.
Our Vision: John 10:10
Our vision as a church is best expressed by the statement: “Helping you live the life you were meant to.”
Everyone is trying to find joy, peace, and happiness, but the problem is that we look in all the wrong places. Jesus came to restore our relationship with God so that we can experience life to its fullest. The apostle Paul tells us that this is the fruit of the spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentlenesses, self-control. Against such things, there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23 (HCSB)
It is our goal to do this by:
Creating an atmosphere of love and acceptance where people can feel free to share their hurts and find both healing and direction.
Meeting people where they are in their spiritual journey and helping them grow in Christ through Sunday School, small groups, and mentoring relationships.
Encouraging believers to accept God’s call on their life and use the gifts He has given to them to encourage other believers and connect with non-believers.
