CHUNGS BLACK BELT ACADEMY
Chung’s Black Belt Academy schools are owned and operated by Grand Master Sun Hwan Chung who is a 9th Degree Black Belt. Also, 8th Degree Grand Master Teresa Chung. He and she has been teaching martial arts in the West Michigan area for over 46 years! Through his years of training and vast experiences, he has developed his own system of martial arts called, Moo Sool Do. This system is a combination of Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, and Tang Soo Do, self-defense, and weapons training. Our academies focus on teaching the Moo Sool Do system which incorporates the best of both modern and traditional programs. We also continuously research the most valuable and effective instructional practices so that we can meet the needs of all of our students regardless of their age or skill level. Chung’s Black Belt Academy also is the only place that uses a special textbook for the Moo Sool Do system.
Our schools offer some of the most qualified, highly skilled, and expertly trained instructors in the country. It is our goal to help our students to become more physically fit, gain more self-confidence, and attain inner peace. We are honored to have been awarded the Outstanding Educational Leadership and Instruction award by the Martial Arts World Hall of Fame for our efforts!
