The Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County originated June 21, 1923. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Therefore, donations to us are tax-deductible. We are a no-kill facility. Our primary goals are to reduce pet overpopulation, and, find forever loving homes for the sick, injured, abused, neglected, and abandoned animals in Decatur and Macon County that come into our facility.
