First Presbyterian Church Apopka – Rev. Dr. Brenda K. Loyal, Pastor
Dr. Loyal became Pastor for First Presbyterian Church of Apopka on May 1, 2019. Since her ordination in 1992, she has pastored churches in Florida, Missouri, and Indiana and she also has served as Chaplain for Westminster Towers of Orlando since 2017.
Dr. Loyal has worked with pastors as a Leadership Coach and is a certified Transitional Ministry pastor. She was the Director of Marketing and Public Affairs for Catholic Charities of Central Florida, and Director of Public Relations for Belhaven University in Orlando.
Dr. Loyal received her Ph.D. in Organization & Management with a specialization in Leadership from Capella University, a Master of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University. Brenda’s husband, Michael Loyal, Ph.D., is a health industry consultant with Loyal Solutions Group and is an adjunct professor at Seminole State College. They have three grown children and two grandchildren.
