At Riverfront Ballroom and Latin Dance Center, we offer many different option sots that introduce you to or expand your knowledge of ballroom dancing. We instruct through private lessons, group lessons, and practice parties.
The primary mode of instruction is through private lessons. Private lessons are scheduled at your convenience Monday through Saturday. During private lessons, you work one-on-one with your instructor. Throughout these lessons, your instructor shows you steps or patterns for specific dances. They also instruct you in tour own personal attention areas including leading/following, timing and rhythm, music training, and also personal style and expression. Private lessons allow your instructor to get to know you on a personal basis. Therefore, they teach you at your own pace and focus your lessons to your personal goals.
Group classes are used as a supplemental form of learning to private lessons. These classes allow you to be introduced to dance patterns and then work on more specific needs in your private lessons. Group lessons are held on different evenings throughout the week.
Finally, because practice is essential to mastering any skill, we hold a practice party on select Friday evenings from 8:30-10 p.m. Both the group classes and practice parties offer you the occasion to meet and dance with new people in a social setting.
