A site dedicated to the original Smith’s Rosebud Salve, made by the Rosebud Perfume Company in Woodsboro, MD, for the last 110 years.
The Rosebud Perfume Company, Inc. was founded by George F. Smith in 1895. The business began in a small drugstore across the street from what is now the “Rosebud Building”. The company thrived during the Depression and has had a huge resurgence in the last decade as it has been ‘rediscovered’ by families of original customers, celebrities, and makeup artists. The company originally distributed perfumes, salves, soaps and more, but has more recently focused on its flagship “Smith’s Rosebud” salve products. The company distributes its salves and lip balms throughout the world and is enjoyed by celebrities, athletes, homemakers, and health care providers alike.
