Dr. Aziz Ahmad received his residency training at the University of Buffalo, New York in general surgery, and then had Fellowship training in colorectal surgery at the same institution. The American Board of Surgery certified him in 1980, and he received his board certification in colorectal surgery in 1983. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been in practice in Panama City for the last 34 years. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of General Surgery. He has pioneered laparoscopic surgery in Bay County with extensive training, interest, and experience.
He has been chief of surgery at Gulf Coast Hospital and has chaired other important committees for several years. He served as director of the wound healing center at Bay Medical Center for two years starting with its inception. He has a keen interest in the management of acute and chronic, complicated wounds.
