As part of the Wesleyan Church, we believe in the birth of a revival movement that has historically been given a mission—the spread of biblical holiness throughout the earth. The message that ignited the Wesleyan revival was the proclamation that God, through Christ, can forgive the sins of men and women, transform them, deliver them from innate sin, enable them to live holy lives, and testify in their hearts that they are children of God.
The message was based on Scripture, verified by personal experience, and came not only in word but also in the power of the Spirit. It was dynamic and contagious, and it was communicated from heart to heart and from country to country. It adapted itself and gave new vitality and purpose to the various types of church organizations. The Wesleyan Church believes that extending biblical holiness throughout
the earth involves uniting the whole church of Christ in a mission focused entirely on reaching the world, including the following:
1. Sharing the divine revelation of all salvation through Christ according to the Holy Scriptures to evangelize the lost and to minister redemption to human society and its institutions.
2. Connecting new converts to local churches and providing Spirit-filled and well-trained pastors and leaders for this purpose.
3. Developing in converts patterns of worship to God and fellowship with other believers.
4. Discipling new believers to be witnesses for their Lord.
5. Guiding believers to experience entire sanctification so they can live full and holy lives.
6. Providing lifelong development, nurturing, and instruction for Christians, encouraging each one to grow toward spiritual maturity in Christ Jesus.
7. To help developing Christians cultivate a Christian understanding of life and the universe, preparing them to be good stewards of the talents, time, opportunities, and resources Christ has entrusted to them.
8. To equip believers for lives of dynamic service to God and humanity, so that they may fully realize the potential God has designed for each of them.
