R. Don Deaver, the owner of Deatech Consulting Company, is a pipeline and oil and gas industry expert who provides engineering, consulting and expert witness services relating to pipeline explosions, oil field accidents and other matters involving oil and gas safety.
Don graduated from Texas A&M University in 1964 and has been working in the oil and gas industry ever since. He is a licensed professional engineer in Texas, and Don’s work experience includes over 33 years with Exxon Pipeline Company and other Exxon affiliates.
Don’s work activities include technical consulting within Exxon, Exxon pipeline affiliates, the Trans Alaska Pipeline System, and ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia. He has also been asked to serve on more than 30 committees, task groups, work groups, and advisory groups all relating to the oil and gas industry.
Don’s work as an expert witness since 1997 has involved numerous gas pipeline explosions, pipeline ruptures and fires, environmental contamination, financial disputes between oil and gas companies, personal injuries, worker injuries and property damages.
