The Brain Lumber Company has a rich and storied history dating back to 1868 when it was first established by a group of four men, including brothers William and George Brain. Originally known as Brain-Simpson Lumber, the company provided top-quality lumber and building materials to the growing community of Springfield, Ohio and the surrounding area. Over the years, the business passed down from generation to generation, becoming George Brain & Sons in 1889. And finally, in the 20th century, it was renamed as The Brain Lumber Company with a commitment to providing the highest level of service to their customers.
