Iglesia El Buen Pastor Beaverton

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. The Bible is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to it.
We believe in the One True God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinguishable, but indivisible.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man. Jesus Christ is the Only Mediator, in whose Person reconciliation between God and man has been effected.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God. He is eternal, non-derived, possessing all the attributes of personality and deity; and in substance he is equal to the Father and the Son.
We believe that man was created good and just, in the image of God. By his own decision he rebelled against God, bringing sin to the human race. Only the grace of God can bring man into holy fellowship with God and enable him to fulfill the purpose for which he was created.
We believe that human life is of inestimable value and significance in all its dimensions, from conception to the grave.
We believe in evangelistic and missionary fervor and effort; as a duty and privilege.
We believe in the salvation of sinners by the grace of God, the total redemption of man by the transforming power of God and is offered freely to all who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
We believe that marriage is the union of a man and a woman, in a pact and commitment for life; and a sacred institution established by God.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, which includes all the redeemed of all ages. The local church is an autonomous congregation of baptized believers, associated in a covenant of faith and fellowship.
We believe that God’s will for his children is sanctification and holiness of heart; a just and holy life, surrendered to his purposes and designs.
We believe that sexual purity is a necessary expression for all of God’s children and requires abstinence from any sexual relationship or practice prohibited by Scripture.
We believe in the ordinances of the Bible: Baptism in water and the Lord’s Supper.
We believe that the first day of the week is the Lord’s Day, a Christian institution that must be observed regularly, commemorating the resurrection of Christ from the dead.
We believe in the personal, visible and imminent return of Christ, in power and great glory, in his present and eternal dominion; in the resurrection of the dead, both believers and non-believers; in the final judgment; and in the new heavens and new earth, in which dwells the justice of God.
